A week ago we were living it up on the beach. This week we headed back to the hospital for Luca to have surgery on his hip. The hip socket was not formed properly so they did a bone graft from his leg and reformed the hip. They also rotated his knee. Hopefully this will help him be more stable when he walks.
The surgery went well. It took them a couple days to get his pain under control but once they did he was feeling better as you can tell from these faces.
We got to come home yesterday. It amazes me how much being home perks him up. He looks pretty worn out here but we took him outside the next day and he was loving life again.
3 more weeks with the casts on! We can do it! Amazingly I found some 24 month one piece outfits that fit him since I can't get any pants over his casts.
Nana and Papa took Luca on a walk and ended up at Double D's. Yum!
